Noah Vonleh To Declare For NBA Draft

Mar 24, 2014 12:39 AM

Noah Vonleh will leave Indiana to declare for the 2014 NBA Draft.

"It's going to suck leaving college without an NCAA Tournament," Vonleh said. "But I have to do what's best for me."

"I've heard the fourth pick to the 12th pick is wide open," Vonleh said. "[I think I'll be selected] anywhere in that range."

DraftExpress.com has Vonleh going seventh overall.

Vonleh averaged 11.3 points and 9.0 rebounds for the Hoosiers.

Noah Vonleh Leaning Toward Declaring For NBA Draft

Mar 15, 2014 9:38 PM

Noah Vonleh is strongly leaning toward declaring for the 2014 NBA Draft, according to sources.

Vonleh is expected to be selected somewhere between the No. 7 and No. 12 pick by front office executives.

Vonleh's inner circle has been engaged in dialogue with a few prominent NBA agents, especially across the past several weeks of the season, sources told Yahoo Sports.

Vonleh sat out two late regular season games with inflammation in his left foot, which team executives and agents believe was due to concern for his draft status.

Vonleh won't turn 19 until late August and many executives have concerns about his eventual position in the NBA.

"He'll spend a lot of time in the D-League next year," one NBA general manager told Yahoo Sports. "He's nowhere near ready to play, but there's no doubt he's got great potential, along with very good character."

Report: Mike Woodson Could Be Candidate For Hoosiers

Mar 14, 2014 12:47 PM

Mike Woodson is not expected to survive the regime change of Phil Jackson with the New York Knicks.

Sources say there is a push at Indiana University to force out Tom Crean and replace him with Woodson.

Crean led Indiana to a Big Ten title last season but were eliminated in the first round of the conference tournament this week and have a 17-15 record.

Woodson played collegiately at Indiana.

Woodson didn't expect to return to the Knicks even before the Jackson rumors began.
